The Brown bear is located across the Northern Eurasia and North America and feeds on wide distribution of food. The bear can feed on vegetation and meat and become less active in the cold winter season, when it hibernates. The bear enjoy feeding on salmon near large waterfall when the salmon swim to the nesting area to mate. The average weight for male brown bear is 270 kg and for female is around 130-200 kg. The brown bear is 3 metres tall on their hind legs and 1.5 metres on all four legs.
This clip shows of brown bear ambushing in the waterfall to feed on the salmon. Brown bear are very aggressive in their territory and fight over the best spot to feed on the fish. The brown bear will all gather together during the mating season for the fish to gain high proteins and preparing for the cold winter season coming ahead.
